This site is situated on the southern side of the Danube-river, on a high plateau underneath the mountain of Göttweig with it's beautiful monastery on top.

Soil:
deep sandy loess (chalky loam)

Description:
Shiny yellow colour. In the nose lively aromas of ripe, juicy pears, pink grapefruits, cracky green bellpeppers, freshly grounded white pepper. The diverse aromas continue on the pallet and are carried by an elegant body. A gentle but fresh acidity accompanies the bunch of fruit-aromas to a very Veltliner-typical finish.

Food recommendations:
This medium bodied typical Grüner Veltliner is the perfect companion for a huge variety of foods. From fish and seafood to meats, pasta, cold cuts and even spicy asien food.

To serve with:
poached fish, cheese like camembert or brie, pasta, starters, typical Austrian cold food
